Getting started with NoxCRM
This guide walks through the first hour of a NoxCRM workspace: signup, team setup, roles, and your first accountable lead. The goal is not a crowded dashboard — it is one record with one owner, one stage, and one dated next action.
1. Create your workspace
Sign up at the NoxCRM workspace URL and verify your email. The workspace is your isolated tenant: team members, leads, pipelines, and permissions live inside it. Use a business email and keep the workspace name recognisable to your team.
2. Invite your team and set roles
NoxCRM uses role-based access control. Define the minimum roles your team needs — typically owner, manager, and agent:
- Owner — workspace configuration, roles, permissions, exports, and audit review.
- Manager — pipeline governance, reassignment, approval of exceptions, and team reports.
- Agent — capture leads, update records, log activity, and manage assigned follow-ups.
Invite people by email and assign roles before they start. Field-level restrictions let you hide sensitive fields from agents who do not need them.
3. Set up your pipeline stages
A useful pipeline has a small number of stages with written entry and exit rules. Start with a simple flow — for example New lead → Qualified → Quoted → Won / Lost — and define what evidence moves a record out of each stage. Avoid stages that people interpret differently.
4. Capture your first lead
Create a lead manually or point a website form at your workspace. Capture at minimum: the requirement, the contact details with consent to store them, the source, and the owner. Turn on duplicate detection so the same person is not entered twice from different channels.
5. Assign ownership and a next action
Every active lead needs one accountable owner and one dated next action. Assign the lead, set the follow-up date, and record what will happen on that date — a call, a quote, a document, or a decision check. A lead with no owner or no next action is not yet managed work.
6. Connect the API (optional)
If you want programmatic lead intake or webhook delivery, create a personal access token under your account and read the API reference for the endpoint surface. Tokens are scoped to your workspace; revoke any token you no longer use.
What to verify after setup
- Every role has only the permissions the work requires.
- Pipeline stages have entry and exit rules written down.
- Every new lead gets an owner and a dated next action automatically or by assignment.
- Duplicate detection is enabled for your main capture channels.
- The audit log captures sensitive actions (assignment changes, deletions, exports).
Honest boundary
NoxCRM is currently available for demonstrations. The operator web experience is being refined, and some capabilities are planned rather than shipped — check the capability inventory before planning a rollout.
